cabin & boating weekend

we had an exciting weekend at the stewart cabin and boating at deer creek! we all enjoyed the good company, the hot weather, the nice water, & the pretty canyon!

alexa & nathan really enjoyed each other...probably the most that they ever have! nathan would laugh the cutest laugh every time that he and alexa were together.

tyler finally convinced me that it was okay to take alexa for a calm ride on the tube...alexa didn't really know what to think about that experience!

thank you so much! it was so much fun! alexa really had fun...it is so funny, every time she sees her life jacket she tries to put it on and points like she wants to go boating! she sure loves adventure!

Take me out to the BALL GAME!

Dad invited us to the BUZZ GAME when he was given last minute suite tickets!!! It was really fun! Sara came to play with Alexa, which is always fun for Alexa (and us!). It was nice being in the suite because it was so HOT outside so it was nice to go inside to cool off, and it also gave Alexa a chance to run around!

ON THE 4TH OF JULY, WE CELEBRATED BY SWIMMING, PIZZA, & ENJOYING THE FESTIVITIES PUT ON HERE IN WEST JORDAN!

Tyler and I each took a turn taking Alexa down one of the many puffy slides that they had there...that was definitely a new experience for her!...The slides were a lot faster and bigger than the ones she is used to!

This was Alexa's FIRST TIME throwing SNAPS! She had a fun time trying to throw them hard enough to snap...and made some friends doing it!

Behind Tyler, you can see the giant screen that we watched "Yours, Mine, & Ours" later on that evening. There were so many people there to watch it!

Alexa was playing with the wheels of her stroller saying "Vroom, Vroom!" She was also enjoying the music...dance dance dance! She loves to dance...any good nicknames for her anyone?!

After the movie we were able to enjoy FIREWORKS!!! We had a really fun FOURTH OF JULY!

NEWPORT

Once again, our Newport trip was a BLAST!!! It is such a good way to spend time BONDING with the fam!



This is a pictures of Kaci, Alexa, & Amy in the back of our car DRIVING to Newport! Alexa did really well traveling those 10+ hours to California! Everyone took their turns driving with us in our car...they were good sports having to "squoosh" in our little car.

Below are pictures of Alexa's FIRST time experiencing the BEACH as a ONE Year old! ...SHE LOVED IT! We are at the beach in BALBOA. Usually the waves are really BIG and it is fun to watch the boogie boarders try to take the waves...but this year the waves weren't so good. This is a good Sunday activity that we do each year.

We are all wearing the "matching" shirts...well, the boys all match & the girl's all match & the babies match...and Ty & I got matching hats :)

Volleyball is one of the traditions at the beach each year! It gets everyone HOT and SANDY and ready to jump in the WATER!

We all just finished our "DONUT RUN" down to the pier...the little girls are sleeping from a long day at the beach!

This was a funny thing Alexa did in the SAND! She loves to "stand" on her head... the sand would get ALL OVER her face and hands! But that didn't stop her from having fun and doing it over and over!


Here we are at it again, some more SMASHBALL!

Alexa got some good NAPS in at the beach! There's something about the sound of the waves that give her nice long naps!

Mom was holding Alexa and humming to her...and Alexa fell asleep humming back to Grandma Janis!

It was really neat being able to go through the Newport Beach Temple for the first time since it was dedicated! It is a beautiful temple! We went with a lot of our relatives for the Reunion.
