Last Shebang of Summer

What a great way to end the summer! We took off to St. George for the weekend with some of my side of the family. We spent two "fun in the sun" days at Sand Hollow Reservoir, and then did some other "musts" the following day. The weather was beautiful and the company was great. We had a fun time.
The Krommenhoek girls who were there...someone said "serious"

Our "babysitters" :)
It was nice having others around to entertain our little ones once and awhile!
The SAND was definitely a highlight for our girls!
This shows you how Karli was on the boat this trip...didn't like it that much! She couldn't handle not being free to wander wherever she wanted, and whenever she tried she'd fall! Poor girl! As soon as she got on the beach her whole mood would change--she was granted her freedom once again!

Our group--Kaci, Sara, Savannah (Sara's friend), Mama K, T, K, A, K, Laini (Amy's friend), and Amy-- right after climbing up the "narrows" (aka the split in the rock)!
Gotta love St George!
Now, bring on the FALL!
Beautiful colors
crisp air
warm, cozy clothes
fun holidays
yummy food
...thinking positive! :)

Early Morning Ride

My Mom, Chelsie, and I had a good time last Saturday on our early morning ride! (these pictures were scanned, so not very clear, but at least I didn't have to add heads to some random picture I found on google!)

I can't tell you how fun and refreshing it is riding horses! I love it!

random weather

This is what happens at the splash park when there is lightening spotted--they turn off the water--but that doesn't stop the fun from happening! Alexa had her two cousins Seth and Mika over for a few hours, so we decided to head over to the Splash Park, not realizing the big gray cloud creeping overhead, and right when we got there to play they turned the water off :( Luckily they had their scooters! They still managed to have a good time!

The three of them at the park near our home...(the sun came out again)

Karli's funnies and Alexa's playgroup

This is what I saw as I looked over from the computer this morning. It made me laugh!
I wish I had the camera at the exact moment I glanced and Karli in the bath...she had the best looking "bubble beard" ever...but she still looks cute sitting in the bath with bubbles on her face!

Well, here it is, Alexa's little playgroup! I had them at my house this week, and it ended up being a blast! They are at such a fun age, and get along really well for three year olds. Alexa asks, "Is playgroup today?" every morning...She has a lot of fun with all these cute little girls!

Fun Friday

Friday was a good day.
Alexa, Karli, and I went on a nice bikeride in the morning,
then met up with my sister-in-law Chelsie, Noah, and Chloe at the splash park,
and that night I went with my little sisters
to Trafalga for Kaci's Birthday!
It was a FULL, FUN day!

A Little Dirt Never Hurt Anyone

We decided to do a little 'overnighter' in the great outdoors this weekend,
so we headed up AF canyon!
It was beautiful,
serene,
some great bonding time,
a lot of dirt,
peaceful,
yummy,
a little scary for one,
cozy,
a bit stressful :)
a time to relax,
...and a really fun time!

Our BIG TOUGH DADDY there to PROTECT and PLAY with US...
Mommy not knowing what to do alone for the camera...

KARLI in the DIRT pretty much 90% of the time we were up there!
How to keep a one year old clean while camping...WHO KNOWS?!?!?...
ALEXA LOVING EVERY moment of CAMPING
...except for maybe the "scary darkness"...raccoons and other scary things.
She was PROUD of her FIRST ROASTED MARSHMALLOWS all by herself!

Our two cuties,
learning to enjoy each other and play with each other...
oh, how I love these little girls!

Me and my Love...
(Alexa showing her mad skills at photography)
and a silly one for Alexa! A little bit of four wheeling in the morning!
