Cabin Time

Our weekend at the cabin was pretty cold and wet, but that didn't stop us from having a good time. We spent more time than usual inside the cabin, but enjoyed the beauty outside whenever we had a chance.

Alexa is quite the little soccer star! She loves her little soccer ball.

the Fam having dinner the first night at the Cabin.

Here we are 'playing' inside the cabin.

Cute little Alexa couldn't stand being stuck indoors too long...we made a lot of little get-a-ways to the front porch.

The leaves are so pretty...RED, YELLOW, ORANGE, & GREEN. "its Autumn time, its Autumn time"

It is so fun that we get to go to the cabin every year for Mom's birthday. We had fun celebrating it with her again this year! Mom, we love you.

Jackson, Alexa, & Nathan hanging out together with their toys on the couch! :)

Horses

These are some more pictures from my Horseback Riding Lessons! Before the lesson, my Mom had been riding her horse, Gideon, so she took Alexa on a little ride.

My Mom watches Alexa while I am in my lesson. This is what Alexa does!...feeds the baby, plays with the ball, rides bubba! It is good for her to be around all this.

We actually went for a walk with our horses this lesson. It was fun. This picture is of Chelsie & Mona. They are both too good at riding horses already...I don't really fit in this class. I am way too uncoordinated. Oh well, I'll try my best to blend in :)
My horse NICK and I walking with the others. It was a nice day...all but those millions of allergies getting to me...A-A-CHOOO!

Alexa was having fun with her Grandma Janis and Aunt Sara after the horses!

Wheeler Farm

Alexa and I went to Wheeler Farm with some of our playgroup. It was a really nice day, and Alexa seemed to really enjoy it all! She loves animals and she loves playing with other kids. We fed ducks, looked at other farm animals, had a picnic, went on a "hayride", and played around with the kids. It was nice to be able to enjoy some good weather before it gets too cold.

Growing Up Fast

I love to watch Alexa play...She is growing up so fast. Katie (one of the girls I watch--3 yrs old) has recently been 'teaching' Alexa to love "girly" things like dress-up, bracelets, bows, etc. This particular day that I took these pictures, they were having so much fun dressing up and dancing around. It is fun for Alexa to play with kids that are older than she is...I think she feels as old as they are. :)

Alexa is so much more coordinated at the park than she used to be. She absolutely loves the park. These pictures are taken with some of our neighbors, the Hottons. Alexa loves playing with these cute kids as well! She gets especially excited for TWO things when we go outside to play...the park and the Hottons (Braxton, Sammy, & Tayden).

taking up all my time

I decided to finally get reading the "twilight" books that I have been hearing about from pretty much EVERYONE around here. They are soooo good. I knew that I would probably enjoy reading them, even though the subject didn't seem in interest me very much. I do like to read. Well, I was wrong. I am 'totally loving' reading them. I am amazed that I am finding time to read, what with having Alexa and all (I'm not neglecting her, I promise). I can't seem to put the book down. This is a probably a good thing so that I will finish them faster and not drive Tyler crazy for too much longer :)

Cousins & a Kitty

It is so cute watching Alexa and Mika slowly starting to communicate and play together. They are about 8 months apart, and that age gap is finally starting to come together. Mika has always seemed so much older than Alexa, but not that much anymore!
Kevin and Chelsey brought their new little kitten "Pheonix" to our Krommenhoek FHE/Kaci's Birthday Party. Kaci is turning 20 years old on Tuesday! Crazy, can she really be that old? I still feel that old.

The kids all enjoyed playing with Pheonix. Alexa had never been that close to a cat before...she loved it until it was on her or coming toward her. It's fun letting Alexa experience different kinds of animals.

Painting Rocks

When the "three little cuties" were all in my care last, we needed to get creative... so we painted rocks!

There is some kind of magic that happens when you give kids paint brushes, water, and little bit of color! They enjoyed themselves so much!

Ta-Da! The masterpieces are finished!
