Happy Valentine's Day 2011

We had a fun Valentines!
It's always fun being able to celebrate, but it's especially fun since having kids!
We did our favorite tradition of DECORATING SUGAR COOKIES

We did this on Sunday, so we could have them already done for Monday.
Alexa had a Valentine's Party at preschool,
The girls were able to give and receive a lot of fun and yummy valentines, and
The girls had a lot of fun with a babysitter,
while Tyler and I took a couple of hours
to go out to dinner.
It was a nice day.
I had a bit of a baby scare
...thought the baby might be coming...
but everything is going fine now.
Prayer works miracles!
And now just taking it easy.

And I just thought this was a cute greeting for Valentine's Day...

Getting Excited!

This post is more for me than anyone,
but my babies are on my mind a lot lately.
So I'm really getting excited for our newest addition to our family to come!
I'm almost 33 weeks along,
just one week shy from when little Karli welcomed us with her presence...
so I'm trying to get mentally and physically prepared now.
Who knows when my third sweet little angel will come?!

Here is a picture of Shelley baby #3 at
 21 weeks

And here she is at 31 weeks
(in the crazy 4D pictures)

We had fun having the chance to see her again...so much bigger!
And we get to see her again tomorrow!
 Fun stuff :)
Here are pictures of
baby Karli
and
baby Alexa
I wonder what this baby is going to be like, act like, look like, etc!
I can't wait! :)

Some Fun Projects

HEART HAIR CLIPS

is were we found this fun idea to make some fun clips
to wear and share for Valentines Day!
We've been needing a new accessory for the girl's hair
...these were perfect and really fun!
I don't know why it was so much fun to burn the edges...but it was!
We also made some round ones for the girls and some headbands for the baby!
***
HANGING ROSES
These were really fun to make!
I got the idea from a great blog c jane blog
and she got the idea from one of these two blogs
I decided to hang our "rose balls" in the baby's room
right about the crib.
Alexa loves them and said, "I wish we made these for my room when I was a baby..!"
Sorry girl, just learned how to make them :)
***
We didn't want the girls to feel left out of all the "doing new things to house" fun
and now that we have a new playroom all situated, Alexa and Karli had a lot more wall space to finally do this!
We ended up purchasing this "wall sticker/vinyl mural art" from Ebay
...but almost chose a few through Etsy...
And we love it!
It adds so much fun to their room.

Well, those are some of the fun things we've been doing to keep our minds busy lately :)
We are getting excited for the baby to come, and are hoping she doesn't come quite as "out of the blue" as we felt our last happened!  Hopefully we'll have a name picked out, the house all organized, and a bigger vehicle by then...but if not, we'll make it work out just fine!  Any name suggestions ? :)

project completed!

Tyler took a couple of evenings to finish the baby's room walls!
I love it!
(thanks for the great idea Mindy)
Our third little girl is going to be living in "style" :)
Tyler, you have MAD SKILLS!
And here is cute Karli being silly for the camera!
She is growing up fast!
Not my little baby anymore...pretty good timing I'd say!

Christmas "quicky"

I guess I'm going to blame this pregnancy
on how bad I've been with taking pictures and posting to the blog lately
...I just realized I didn't post anything much about Christmas...

We had a WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS!
Tyler took the girls to Thanksgiving Point with some of our friends to see Santa.
It was the last day to see Santa, so you can only imagine how crazy it must have been...
but they made it!
and were able to tell Santa
what they were really hoping to see next to their stockings this year!
Alexa asked for "Tinkerbell and her friends"
Karli asked for "lip gloss" (Alexa told Santa for her...she wasn't too excited to sit on his lap!)
(And I wasn't able to make it because I was at a class making a framed picture of the temple!)

And the girls got to see the reindeer!
Alexa has been talking about them since last year!

Karli and Alexa on Christmas morning!
excited and happy!
They got what they asked for from Santa
...plus some other fun things they gave eachother and got from Mom and Dad!
Santa also left them a note to thank them for the cookies and milk!
What a crazy holiday it must be for a little child
...they decide the thing they want most, ask for it, and wake up to gifts!
Pretty exciting! :)
I love getting to share all the holiday excitement
with these two little angels and my angel hubby!
I am one lucky girl!

We had a lot of fun celebrating with friends and lots of family!
It was a great Christmas!

New Years Interviews 2011

I have a little tradition of "interviewing" my kids at the start of each new year.
It will be fun seeing how their answers and drawings change from year to year!
(click on the pictures of their interviews to make them bigger)
Here are the links to previous years 2010 interviews  and 2009 interview

When I asked Alexa to draw herself, she drew about three different pictures of herself and Karli.
This is the first one she made.
