Basketball Games

Last week was full of my sister Amy's basketball state tournament. It was a lot of fun participating and cheering her and her team on as they made it all the way to SECOND PLACE!! We all wore the team colors-RED, White, & Black! Alexa loved getting dressed up for Aunt Amy's basketball games, so we helped her make her own t-shirt to wear to the games. It made our week busy, going to these games each day/night, but it was so much fun hanging out with family and supporting our little sis.

Alexa's Grandparents

Alexa LOVES her grandparents. She gets so excited when we are going to see Grandma and Grandpa Shelley or Grandma and Grandpa Krommenhoek. They each have their unique relationships with her, and they are so much more exciting than Dad and Mom. She cries when she has to leave them and she is so happy when she is with them. She says "Pompa" and "Mama" so cute. I just wanted to thank you Dad & Mom Shelley & Krommenhoek for being such a huge part of Alexa's life. You are so amazing and such great examples. Thanks for all your love to your granddaughter. We love you guys so much!

hat fun

Alexa is constantly doing the cutest things, and always makes us laugh!

I was cooking dinner and Alexa was drawing/coloring on some of the mail on the table...next thing I know she has made an 'amazing hat' made out of an envelope. It was so cute, she was so proud of what she had made! She tried making Mommy and Daddy one, but the pieces of paper didn't work as well as the envelope.

Cookie Decorating

Last night, we enjoyed our tradition of decorating Valentine cookies! We had a lot of fun together as a little family. Alexa was so funny with it all...she couldn't wait for dinner to be over so that we could start the cookies. But when we started decortating, she just wanted to eat the frosting, sprinkles, and candy. I even tried making her a cookie so that she could enjoy the finished product, but she just wanted everything separate...and then some milk to wash it all down. Maybe next year she'll enjoy the decorating the cookie part better! :) She did have fun delivering them to some of our neighbors and friends though. That's always the best part for her.

Red Fishy-Kisses

Alexa has been learning colors lately and just learned "RED" today. She wore red tights to church, and loved them so much that she didn't want to take them off when we got home. :) So we all put red shirts on and have been enjoying our restful Sabbath.
The fishy-kisses are for you!..
Happy Valentines!

snow...and more snow

There has been so much snow fall this past week, but today won. Tyler went with the Young Men in our ward to shovel snow at the church early this morning, it took them forever because everyone was getting stuck driving in the snow. When Ty finally came home to shovel our driveway, there were still cars attempting to drive in the snow...and getting stuck. Thank goodness for our truck! We had fun playing in the snow a little bit-before we got too cold-pulling Alexa around in the sled and making snowballs.

play

Tyler is so good when he plays with Alexa. He is so nice to give me lots of breaks when he gets home from work and one the weekends. What would I do without him?! In this picture they are playng Rummikub. Alexa always looks forward to playing with Daddy.

Alexa really loves to color, but I have to give her the "twistable crayons" because if I don't she spends all her time peeling off the paper of the crayons...it is so funny. It is nice that she likes to do this when we are eating out and she is given crayons. She spends a lot of the time peeling the crayons and less time being a little rascal.

Crumps Visit

Alisha, Ronnie, & Nathan came to our house to hangout! It had been awhile since we'd seen them. Little Nathan is now walking! He is so cute. We all had a fun time with them, Alexa LOVES playing with them all...especially her Uncle Ronnie. He knows just how to play with her, she never wants him to stop. "more" "more" :) When I was putting Alexa to bed after they left, Alexa kept on saying "back, come back." She apparently hadn't had enough of the Crumps.
