Family Parties...Halloween style!

Both of our families had Halloween Parties this year...so fun!
Ty and I feel like we have definitely celebrated Halloween this year! We have done so many fun things this year as a family.
We decided to go with some "spooky" Halloween characters this year, since Alexa wanted to be a witch and Karli was going to be a pumpkin. (Ty and I are Frankenstein and his Bride!)
Everyone had such great costumes! It is always fun to see what people come up with!

Pumpkin Land

We tried out this really "cute" little place that had a corn maze, blow-up toys, a kid-friendly haunted house, pumpkins, animals, ...and much much more. We had a good time! Everthing was very unique. The best part of it all was the cute little farmer who ran the place!...I wish we got a picture!
~
These things usually turn out really cute for pictures...but this one didn't so much...

The "bouncey toys" were fun! We were some of the last people to leave, so Ty and I were "rebels" and played on them with Alexa...there was an age limit of 8 years.

Looking at some of the fun animals there...

Happy Wednesday

Karli had her four month check-up yesterday (I still can't believe that she is already four months old!). She is doing AWESOME! She is growing, she is healthy, and the doctor was joking around that she is just the "perfect baby!" It is hard to believe, now, that she had such a rough start to her life. We are so happy that she has joined our family. She is such a sweetheart.
***
Speaking of "perfect baby," Karli took about a four hour nap today...so, Alexa and I were able to spend some quality time together! We played with play dough, colored, painted pictures with watercolor, painted and colored on pumpkins, and danced to some kid tunes! She is so much fun!

"I'm so glad when Daddy comes home, glad as I can be...!" Karli is finally ready to do "Daddy's special little trick!"...Look at her go!

Popsicles in the cold...I know...not the "normal" thing to do, but Popsicles are so much fun while playing outside in our backyard!

...and can't forget to mention listening to some Mama Mia Soundtrack!

THE WITCHES!

We took our little family to see the witches at Garner Village! We have been wanting to do this for a couple of years now...and finally made it. We had a great time, and it even turned out to be the night of the "Wee-Witches" (I think that was what they called it!). There was a lot of kids dressed up as witches and in their costumes, and activities going on!

SO FUN! If you haven't been, GO!

"Matilda" was one of the live witches walking around giving autographs...try and find Alexa!

Abra-ca-dabra...bibity-bobity-BOO!
(There was music playing...and Alexa couldn't resist the urge to TWIRL...and BOOGIE!)

Making Applesauce

All of us "Krommenhoek Girls" (except for Kaci, she had to work, and Jamie who is in San Fran) got together at Mama K's to be all domestic by making APPLE SAUCE! We had a great time peeling, cutting, mashing, canning, and chit-chatting away!
The house smelled so good.
The kids all had fun playing with each other, decorating sugar cookies, watching Halloween movies, and playing with play dough!

FUN DADDY

Our girls have THE BEST DAD (I'm sure you all think that about your husbands...but, sorry, mine is really the best!). These are just some fun, random pictures from a few things that have happened recently.

This is when it was POURING RAIN all day long (yes, we have had all kinds of weather lately!). Tyler is always so good to play with Alexa...whatever her fun, little mind decides! Playing at our park. We have a really fun park just a few houses down from us...and a great view!

Tyler is starting our girls soccer training early! He already has them kicking the ball to each other. Who would have thought Karli would be old enough to play!?

This is why kids need fathers...I don't think that I would've dared let Alexa hold Karli like this!...and more than one time...over our tile floor...! (it may not look as scary in the picture, but when I looked over and Alexa about dropped her...)

I LOVE you Ty.
The BEST husband.
The BEST father.

snow, snow, go away!

Only a few seconds after Alexa got out of bed this morning, she had her boots on and jacket....ready to go play in the snow. "It's really warm outside," she said as we were looking out at the snow! She was trying to convince her Daddy and I that it was a perfect time to go outside. She is so funny!
So, yes, she went outside to play at around 7:30 this morning...but didn't last too long because it was FREEZING outside!

Thank goodness it all melted by the time we got out of church! We are definitely NOT ready for snow!

Middle Names

Middle names are pretty important to both Tyler and I.
Tyler was named after his Grandpa Dale...Tyler Dale.
I was named after my Grandma Mathilde...Kristi Mathilde.
So, we decided to keep up the tradition with our kids.
Our daughters are so lucky to be named after two of the greatest women we know!
Alexa was named after my Mom...Alexa Janis!
And, Karli was named after Tyler's Mom...Karli Pamella!
It is such a fun tradition, and really helps to connect with the grandparent!

Ashley & Amy's Socccer Game

We had a good time watching both of our sisters play against each other in their high school soccer teams...Spanish Fork and American Fork! One minute we're cheering for one team...and then the next! Both girls are amazing at playing, and so fun to watch. Alexa thought it was crazy to have both sets of Grandparents present! Good times!
