Cake Batter Heaven


This was so funny the other night! I was making a chocolate cake, and Alexa LOVES to help (and now I know that she LOVES cake batter too!), and while the cake was baking in the oven I let Alexa have a little lick...well it turned into more than a little lick. She was busy trying to get every last drop out of the bowl for at least 15-20 minutes! It was so cute, I couldn't stop her until she was good and finished. She was in "cake batter heaven!"

Blaze














We went to a Utah Blaze game (indoor football) with Kevin, Chelsie, & baby Noah on Saturday night! It was a good time! We had really good seats-second row-and it was fun to experience what it is all about. We weren't sure how Alexa would do...but she danced and danced to the music. She enjoyed all the excitement going on. It was nice to get out and do something new, and we always like hanging out with Kev and Chels.

1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10









Alexa surprised Tyler and I two times last night...first, Tyler was helping Alexa say our dinner prayer (she usually will just copy what we help her say) and all of the sudden she took over and said about four or five things by herself! It was so cute, we couldn't help but laugh. Second surprise of the night happened when she and Tyler were playing together and all of the sudden Alexa counted to TEN! She usually will count to two or three...but decided not to stop there!

Our little Alexa is growing up, and it is so cute to watch!

29 Years Old!

























My cute husband Tyler had a birthday yesterday, and we had a fun day celebrating! He had to work :( but Alexa and I met him for lunch. We went to Wheeler Farm (like 3 minutes from his work) for a picnic/party! When Tyler got home from work, my Mom watched Alexa, and Tyler & I went to dinner and movie! It was nice being a little more carefree without Alexa and enjoying the evening together!

Alexa's 2nd Birthday

We decided to celebrate Alexa's birthday with our little family on Saturday (since Mother's day was going to be filled with celebrations at our parent's homes). We had a fun day! We opened presents, sang, had birthday cake at our house...and then we went to the Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. It was great, Alexa loved it (some of the birds scared her...turkeys, chickens, etc)! She loved the pony and wagon rides, and the weather was really nice! Happy Birthday big girl Alexa! I can't believe she is TWO years old!
































Mother's Day

Our weekend was filled with CELEBRATIONS! We spent Saturday night and Sunday morning at Tyler's Fam's house! There we celebrated Mother's day, Alexa's birthday, Tyler's birthday, & Kyle's birthday! Later that day, we went over to my fam's house to celebrate the day--Mother's day & Alexa's birthday--with them as well! It was a full, fun day. It is great being able to share these special days with those we love. Oh ya, and how exciting...the JAZZ WON today as well! What a great, all around day! :)

TWO YEARS OF ALEXA


Alexa's birthday is coming up and I wanted to post some pictures of her through her life...this is probably more for us than for anyone else, and there are quite a few pictures...but we hope you can enjoy our sweet little girl for a few moments. She is such a joy to have in our family. It is an amazing experience being a mother and a parent. We are so blessed to have Alexa in our lives.

Chloe & Alexa

Alexa has a new friend, Chloe, that I am going to be watching once a week! They are so cute together. It is fun to babysit someone who is pretty much exactly Alexa's age (just a couple of months older). We had a good first day. It is good for Alexa to get used to having someone around to share with and play with other than mommy and daddy.
