St. George Break

Hooray!  We made it to St. George!
Karli, Alexa, and I headed to St. George with some of my family for their Spring Break
We missed being away from Tyler so long,
but it was a well needed sunshine break
Tyler stayed busy with yard and home things...and I'm sure he hardly missed us :)
The first couple days were pretty chilly, but warmed up fast!
We enjoyed swimming, parks, tennis, biking, etc!
We love St. George!
Everyday we took time to feed the ducks,
one of the kid's favorite activities
The splash park in town was nice and refreshing on such a hot day
we celebrated my Mom's birthday while we were there
We love you!
Biking a really fun bike trail
Karli wasn't enjoying being stuck in the bike trailer on this hot day
towards the end I ended up carrying her with one hand while finishing up the trail
I probably looked a bit silly
but no matter how tight I'd fasten her in, she'd wriggle her way out

Visiting the temple grounds
This temple has always been one of my favorites
Goodbye St. George...until next time.

Easter 2010

The Easter Bunny came to our house and left fun treats on Easter morning!
I know the picture below is blurry, but just look at Karli's face
...she was so excited about all the "yummy's" all over the place :)
Tyler's parents were visiting for the weekend!
We had a great time with them and the rest the the Utah fam (we missed Amber & Dave's fam)

Tyler, Dad Shelley, and Garrett leaving for the Priesthood Session

Saturday morning was really cold and rainy
so our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt was moved to inside the church
The kids still had a good time!

Friday night we all went to the Temple together!
It was a great experience to have everyone there (again, we missed Amber and Dave).

Daddy Away at Wood Badge

Tyler went to Wood Badge last Weekend (Thursday through Saturday), and is going again this weekend.
I don't know, it may not sound like a long time to some...
but we are with each other as much as we possibly can be,
and this is probably the longest we've been apart since having kids.

Doesn't Tyler look cute in his uniform :)

I'm happy to say we made it through the first weekend great!
Here are a few pictures of how we spent our time...

We went to Kangaroo Zoo with my Brother Kevin, his wife Chelsie, her sister Melissa
and the kiddos Kevin's boy Noah and Melissa's daughter Chloe!
We all had a blast!
And after Kangaroo Zoo, we hung out at Kev's house for a while!
Thanks for helping the time go faster Kev and Chels!

Now on to the second weekend of Wood Badge, and being a single mom for a few days...

What Mothers Can Learn

I really enjoyed reading the ensign article What Mothers Can Learn from the Savior.  I feel like it was written just for me to motivate and encourage me.  Being a mother is wonderful!  I would never trade my 'job' but there are many tough moments.

"The greatest job that any mother will  ever do will be in nurturing, teaching, lifting, enouraging, and rearing her children in righteousness and truth.  None other can adequately take her place."  ~President Gordon B. Hinckley

"If you have done your best, which you usually do, your humble offering, whatever it may be, will be acceptable and pleasing to the Lord."  ~President James E. Faust

If you are a mother or are someday going to be one...read the article!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

"Mom, where's the rainbow?"
Since it is St.Patrick's Day, Alexa just knew there had to be a rainbow somewhere!
She is dressed from head to toe in green :)...She says she is the "Leprechaun Queen!"
And Karli loves to do whatever Alexa does and wear whatever Alexa does...cute little sisters!
So...
These cute little Leprechaun Fairies are here to say,
"Happy St. Patrick's Day!"

Disney On Ice

Alexa and I went on a little "Mom and Daughter Outing" to the Disney on Ice!
We haven't had the chance to do
many things one on one, so we were really excited!
Alexa was really excited for the
Tinkerbell portion of the night...so, of course, dressed up!
We got to see Minnie and Mickey, Little Mermaid, Cars, Lion King, and Tinkerbell!
Great Memories!

A little more SLEDDING

We had such a fun time sledding, so we went the next morning with Tyler!
Nobody was on the hill...we had the place to ourselves
...maybe because we went out at 8:30 am!
Hopefully this will be the last picture with snow activities until next winter!
We are ready for Spring!

Random Fun

The girls wanted pictures of themsleves above...cute little things :)

Our FIRST, LONG time at the park!
They enjoyed themselves so much...
(no pics of Alexa because battery died)
Karli has figured out the art of undressing and dressing herself...
We usually can't keep her in clothes...or diapers for that matter!
These small and simple pleasures of my day are so great!

Didn't Think I'd Be Posting Anymore Pictures Like This For Awhile!

I debated all morning if I was up to taking the girls sledding by myself...
but we decided to do it, and I'm so glad we did!
We had a great experience!
There was tons and tons of snow
(So Alexa was in heaven, having a blast),
and the weather was nice and warm
(so Karli actually enjoyed herself!)!

Hopefully the snow stays one more day
(I can't believe I said that)
so that Tyler can join us one more time before Spring!
Cute little buddies after sledding, all nice and warm
