My brother Kevin had their second son!

I took my beehives horseback riding with my Mom!

We had a great time!

Some of the girls were having such a good time

that they were begging my mom to 

"hire" them to help with the horses :)

They were ready to quit all their other sports and activities

and buy horses!

I have a great calling!

Preschool

Our little Alexa had her first day of preschool

crazy.

She LOVED every bit of it!

She came home so excited,

full of stories,

happy as can be!

Karli cried when Alexa left,

she misses her big sister when she's not around,

but it is going to be so good for Karli and I

to have a little bit more one-on-one time together!

has had a hair fetish ever since she was a little baby!

Pulling Mom's hair, Alexa's hair, her own hair...

she is now getting a lot better with it...

yes, her hair is finally growing in again!

maybe it was just the start for being THE BEST hairdresser

who knows...

Oceanside

We went to Oceanside this year

with our Krommenhoek side of the family!

We had a blast!

Summer is definitely complete after a week-long beach trip!

Our girls had a great time with all their cousins!

Rodeo Gals

Alexa Janis and her Grandma Janis

participated in the Highland Fling Rodeo!

Alexa did a great job

...especially since it was her first time trotting on a horse!

It scared her a little, but she was really brave.

I think she really enjoyed it though

--all the attention and her crowd cheering her on!

My Mom also participated in some other events!

The weather was a bit more cloudy

...but still a blast!

At first, Alexa was scared to swim out to the buoy...

but she did it it and loved it!

Go Bees

We went to the Family Night Bees Game last night!

It was pouring as we were driving there,

and we were asking ourselves what we were thinking,

but it ended up being a lot of fun

and not TOO rainy!

The girls really enjoyed tracking down the bee,

but when he got too close they were pretty shy.
