Look Out World...Here I Come!

Karli is walking!
Well, she is "taking steps"...a lot of steps...more and more everyday!
It is crazy that she is getting so old!
What a little cutie!

Tico

Well, the fish didn't work out so well for us...so when the opportunity to get this cute little kitten arose, we decided to try it out. We've all really enjoyed having little Tico so far! (Ty and I were pretty hesitant about getting it at first, but it has been really fun!) Tico is VERY MELLOW and just a sweet little thing.
And Alexa is LOVING IT! He is going to get so much attention and love from her!

Moab Weekend

We spent a total of 4 nights and 4 days in Moab this weekend! Wow, it was a lot of fun...but the girls are really worn out...I think we all are! We spent the first half of the time with some of our Shelley family...Gpa and Gma Shelley, Ashley, Ronnie, Alisha, cuz Nathan...and the second part of the trip with our little family of four.
The trip started off pretty FREEZING, but by the end it was nice and HOT!
We had fun CAMPING, BIKING, HIKING, and PLAYING!

We had to take this picture of Karli with a crow...we joke around that she is our little "crow" because of her loud bird-like scream :)

Ashley and Kristi standing in a great window arch
...and Ashley's tree :)
The next three are of the DOUBLE ARCH
one of my favs

Karli couldn't get enough of the dirt...and stuff...on the ground!
YUMMY! (I was excited by the end of the trip to get my kids home and clean)

Our last evening we decided to hike to the Delicate Arch
...carrying our two girls..
and are SO GLAD that we did! It was definitely the highlight.
I am so grateful for these little trips we are able to take
to get us all out of the house and doing some fun, active, and beautiful things!
...so fun to have things to look forward to and to experience.

Feeding the baby AND watering the ponies!

Karli seems to be ALL OVER THE PLACE lately! Here she is under the table with Alexa sharing her yogurt and cottage cheese :) Thank you Alexa for letting me get the dishes done...it was nice having a little helper for a couple of minutes!

Outside is DEFINITELY NOT swimsuit weather,
but the kitchen sink was a great substitute!
"My ponies are having a great time, Mom!"

Happy Easter

A quick shot before church of our little cuties in their Easter dresses

We decided that it was finally time to get our first family pet
Alexa picked it out and named it
"Bubbles"
The Easter Bunny came to our house
(even though we spent the night at Gma and Gpa Shelleys!)

Karli and Grandpa Shelley

An early morning family picture after finding our Easter basketsEgg Hunts were where it was at this Easter!
We had a couple with Gma and Gpa Shelley, one at our house from the Easter Bunny, and then one in our neighborhood on a rainy Saturday!

We experimented making
"EGG HEADS"
this year...definitely going to try and make this a tradition!
Plant the wheat seeds about a week before Easter...
watch it grow...
And get a fun display for Easter day! :)

a short visit

My Brother Dallas came for a short--two day--visit from San Francisco.
We had a great time having him around!
but we missed Jamie and Caleb
Here are a couple of pictures of our girls spending time with some of their cousins...

First Time at the Dentist

Yesterday was Alexa's FIRST TIME at the DENTIST
and she did GREAT!
It was so much fun watching my little girl be all "grown-up" and so good! She did everything she was asked (except talk much!), and she really enjoyed the Barbie movie she was able to watch during the whole process.
She must have really had a good experience (and having the Dentist tell her teeth looked like "princess teeth" probably helped a bit) because last night she was SO EXCITED to brush her teeth!

Not So Sunny ST GEORGE

We had THE BEST time in St. George for Conference weekend!
We went down with Tyler's family---THANK YOU for inviting us to come with you!
The weather slowly got better and better everyday we were there, and by Sunday it was really nice.
We enjoyed HIKING, BIKING, the TEMPLE, the PARK, an EASTER EGG HUNT, NO SWIMMING :( the pool was closed for repairs, TENNIS, CONFERENCE, and hanging out with EVERYONE!

This one is for the Dallas and Jamie--I found a favorite tree here! :)
St. George Temple--my childhood favorite!
All the girls came here while the men were at Priesthood...my little ones were pretty sleepy, but I HAD to get a picture with them.

Hanging out at a REALLY NEAT PARK...that was FREEZING!

We had fun BIKING on a the prettiest trail!
Southern Utah is so BEAUTIFUL!

We played at McDonald's while waiting for the rest of our group to arrive in St. George.
Alexa and I had a fun time climbing up the playground there (I can't wait for Karli to get old enough to play with Alexa...but until then, we can't just let her play by herself all the time!)
Little Karli was so funny! She tried everything she could to get in those toys...she wants to be so big too fast :)
