For Labor day weekend, our family went to visit Dallas and Jamie in San Francisco! It was a perfect weekend--nice weather & no work on Monday--and the perfect amount of time to see everything there is to see and spend some quality time with Dal & Jamie. Dallas and Jamie are living in San Francisco while Dallas is in Dental School! They are expecting a boy January 2nd!
We flew into the Oakland Airport Thursday evening. We had the fun experience of taking a shuttle from the airport to the BART (the subway). We took the BART to San Francisco, and let me tell you what an experience that was! Dallas picked us up from the station and took us to their new apartment...they do such a good job decorating!
The next day was a full one! Dallas had to go to school, so Jamie showed us around! We drove around seeing things, including their old apartment, Jamie's work, and the "Full House" house(that row of homes is called the "Painted Ladies")We met Dallas at his school when he was done and had a look around. It was cool seeing the dentures he had made that day. Other things we visited that day was the Palace of Fine Arts and the Golden Gate Bridge!
Saturday was another full one! We enjoyed Lombard Street. We went to Fisherman's Wharf--ate some seafood, saw sea lions, and played some old games in a museum there. We visited China Town...FYI: don't eat cheap food there. Tyler and I rode in a Trolley Car, and later that evening we indulged into a Ghiradelli treat!
Sunday was relaxing. We went to Dallas & Jamie's church, had a "mini baby shower" for them(we decorated onsies), and visited Muir Woods.
Monday, Dallas and Jamie babysat Alexa while Tyler and I went to Alcatraz! We all met up for a picnic at Pier 39, saw the famous "Bushman," and then headed over to Golden Gate Park to relax and enjoy the sun. That evening we went to Union Square and ate at the Cheesecake factory.
Tuesday morning we flew home. Wow, what a trip! Thank you Dallas and Jamie! It was so much fun.

The slide show is so great! What a full & fun labor day weekend. I don't know how you crammed it all in--you must plan a whole lot better than me. David's a great schedule guy, but I ruin his schedule all the time. :)

What a fun way to show your trip! I love that you guys packed in so much...nothing like taking a vacation and then coming home to take another vacation from the real vacation! heehee
Well, i like the slidshow and all but every time i look at it it gives me family withdrawls, especially Alexa :) We had the best time having ya'll visit us. Thanks for such a great vacation!!
