Our Garden

Our garden has had a little bit of a slow start, but last night we ate the first thing out of our garden...yummy spinach! It was so good, we are excited to have it through the rest of the season (along with everything else coming)!
It has been so much fun getting our garden boxes together this year...we'll see how everything else works out!

putting our backyard to some good use

We had some of my family over last night for a little FHE!
It was a lot of fun--BBQ, Soccer, Roasting Mallows...
I LOVE having our backyard all finished, and that we are able to have so much fun in it! Thank you Tyler for all your hard work! It has really payed off! I LOVE our backyard and our home!

Valiant 12 Party

Tyler gets THE BEST PRIMARY TEACHER award
for having a fun little party with his Valiant 12 Class!
They played SOCCER!
They ROASTED MARSHMALLOWS!
They had a GOOD TIME!
It was funny...all of the neighbors came over and joined in on the soccer fun...it seemed like we had a million people in our backyard at one point!

Rainbow, Bubbles, Swings

We looked out the window last night...and saw this beautiful RAINBOW!
This rain has been a bit crazy--where is our summer sunshine?--but it was fun to enjoy this moment with our girls.

"Mom, you're the best mom in the world!" is the response I got after Alexa and I made bubbles to fill her favorite bubble containers...it was our first time, and Alexa thought it was so cool, it won't be our last!

We had the funnest night on Wednesday! We had a little BBQ and played kickball with a lot of my family. My brother Dallas and his family are in town for a couple of weeks! It is so much fun having them around...and for so long!
Tyler was pushing Alexa and Karli in the swings right at the end, and when it was time to leave, Ty pulled little Karli out of the swing...well, she cried and screamed harder than we have ever heard her. Ty set her back in and she instantly quieted down! She fell asleep really fast when we drove home! :)

Graduation and Park City Weekend

Tyler's youngest sister ASHLEY graduated highschool!
We had a good time being there with her and the rest of the fam.
Ash, you are such a sweetheart! We are so proud of you!
After celebrating with Ashley we headed off on a fun, little getaway! THANK YOU CRUMPS! We had a fun and relaxing two-night stay in Park City last weekend! It was good to get away and spend some CAREFREE time together!

Alexa and Daddy decided to take a little ride down the Alpine Slide!
It is so BEAUTIFUL in Park City

They had a GREAT time!
I think that she was a little worried at first, wasn't sure if she really wanted to do it...but she couldn't stop talking about it afterward! She was so happy and excited!

Memorial Day Rollar Blading

What ever happened to rollarblading you ask?....nothing! :)
It is SO MUCH FUN!
Everyone reading this needs to whip out the old rollarblades and give 'em a nice ride!
We went on the Jordan River Trail
that goes behind Thanksgiving Point
(Melissa, remember our fun memories on this trail?!)
It was BEAUTIFUL!
Afterward, we ate lunch at a park.
Fun! Fun! Fun!

bugs and bubbles

Aren't we all loving this beautiful weather?! It has been so nice being able to get outside and do some of our favorite things...that we LONG for during the cold months! This particular evening we did two of Alexa's FAVORITE things! It felt so good to be outside even though it was a little bit rainy! Summer rain is the best...as long as there isn't too much of it!

Another fun thing Alexa has been enjoying is collecting bugs--mainly potato bugs--to put in her bug box! She and her friends do this the whole time while they play, and Daddy was doing it with her in the picture.

Tyler's Fire Pit

One thing Tyler really wanted to do in our backyard was make a fun little firepit!...He finished it, and we finally used it for the first time! My brother Jeff, Amber, Jade, Tyler's sis Alisha, Ronnie, and Nathan came over to help us try it out! We went on a fun little bikeride, roasted hotdogs, and made smores! We had a good time!

Thursday = Park with Emily day!

My good friend Emily and I decided to meet at the park every other week to just catch up and chit-chat, and it is great because our kids are able to have some fun at the park at the same time! I love that we are able to do this! I look forward to it every time!
Emily's little boy Andrew (above) and Karli (below) are only a couple of months apart...SO CUTE!
Alexa brought her friend Chloe with us to the park so that she had a friend her age to play with!...also SO CUTE!
