Tyler took me out for an early birthday celebration on Thursday, and had a really good time! We went to the Pie Pizzaria and then to Indiana Jones...well, we didn't anticipate what would be coming our way the next morning!Tyler went to work as normal, leaving at 7:00 am. Around 8:00 am, I give him a call letting him know that I am having some strange pain that I am hoping isn't LABOR PAINS...about five/ten minutes later we talk again and I say something like this, "Tyler, you better come home right now, and HURRY, I think that the baby is coming!" I call my sister-in-law, Chelsie, to come and pick up Alexa...and as soon as Tyler gets to our house, we rush into our truck and head to AF Hospital (I was supposed to deliver at the new hospital in Murray, but didn't feel like we could make it that far).
Well, to make it short, our little girl wanted to come faster than we were...her head made it out before we even reached the hospital! As soon as I made it onto the bed, one push was all it took to get our little KARLI out.
KARLI PAMELLA SHELLEY was born SIX WEEKS EARLY! Weighing 4 lbs 11 oz, 17 inches long. Spending the start of her life in the Newborn ICU. She is such a blessing to us. She is doing really well "for her age," but it is going to take time to get her to the point where she can come home to her family. 
This has all been a very different and difficult experience with Karli, but we are trying to stay positive and prayful. It has been amazing seeing the growth in her in just these past three days. She has a lot of people praying for her, and it really shows in her. She is so sweet and so cute. Tyler, Alexa, and I love her so much.

How cute!!! She is the most precious little baby ever. I can't believe how much hair she has. Your girls are so lucky. Karli is going to be passing up Kyra with the hair very soon. I like the look of her name, KARLI. Laura and I were just talking about how cute it is. Kristi you look so good. You looked so cute your last day of being pregnant. I wish I could say the same for myself. I can't believe I still have another 2 months to go. I love the pictures with Alexa and Karli. I can tell that Alexa is so excited for her. Congratulations on your beautiful family. I will come and visit you soon.

Oh my goodness, what an incredible story. It sounds like she is adjusting well to life outside of her mommy, but we'll be praying for her too. You look incredible. I know we haven't seen each other in forever and we don't exactly live very close anymore, but if you there is ever ANYTHING I can do, please let me know. You can tell Karli is going to be so loved!
That is so crazy. She is so beautiful. Like I said, we will keep you in our prayers.

How precious is she. Wow, six weeks early! We will defiantly be praying for her to get the strength to come home soon. Let me know what I can do to help, I'm serious about this! We thought about spelling our Carlee's name that way, but we figured if we are naming her after grandpa we should us there spelling:)
CONGRATS!!! The Shelley has grown! She's so cute and so special to your family, and to us! she will be home before you know it! Naomi was just one pound more than Karli and i worried so much but just remember the Lord loves you guys and he's watching over Karli and your family!

I was so shocked when you called and told me yesterday. I am so happy she made it here safe. Our prayers are with you as I am sure many are right now. She is beautiful and I don't know about when you can actually see her, but I think she looks like Alexa. What a cute family! From what you told me it sounds like you were so blessed and she was supposed to come early. She is beautiful and so precious. Give her a kiss for me!

Congratulations. I can't believe your story of how she was born. I hope she grows fast and is home soon. She is absolutely perfectly adorable!! I love her name too, it is beautiful.
OH WOW!! Here I am checking your blog on Ashley's birthday and all the memories of 2 years ago flooded me memory...we have such similar situations! My heart goes out to you guys so much! I know how hard yet how many blessing come to you through this time! We will be praying for you! Karli is so beautiful...looks a lot like Alexa! I will have to call you and get caught up...I promise this will all be a dream someday and like us 2 years later you'll just have a great story to tell!
